Journal History

1. Qawanin is an international journal published by the Syaria Faculty, IAIN Kediri. The idea of the establishment of the journal derived after there was a mandate from the Accreditation Assessor for the Sharia Economic Law Study Program which required a journal management managed by the Study Program. Finally, a journal of Sharia Economic Law was formed, which the selected name is Qawanin. The name itself is taken from the book of Qawanin ash-Syar'iyyah by Sayyid 'Usmdn bin Yahya. The first Qawanin manager was previously under the Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2M) STAIN Kediri. At that time, all journal managers were under this institution. However, for the issue of 2022 and after, the management of Qawanin will be under the Sharia Faculty of IAIN Kediri. In addition, Qawanin was first published on January 30, 2017, and is commemorated as the birthday of the Qawanin Journal.

2. The second publication (Volume 1, No.2, 2017) on 30 Oktober 2017 equipped with a Print ISSN based on Decree No. 0005.25983156/JI.3.1/SK.ISSN/2017.010 dated 11 October 2017

3. Third Publication (Vol. 2, No. 1, 2018) on January 27, 2018

4. Fourth Publication (Vol. 2, No. 2, 2018) on 27 July 2018

5. Fifth Publication (Vol. 3, No. 1, 2019) on January 28, 2019. The first issue after the E-ISSN came out on August 30, 2018. This issue is also the first issue after STAIN Kediri changed to IAIN Kediri on December 27, 2018 based on Regulation of the Minister of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia Number 32 of 2018 concerning the Organization and Work Procedure of IAIN Kediri

6. Sixth Publication (Vol. 3, No. 2, 2019) on July 29, 2019

7. Seventh Publication (Vol. 4, No. 1, 2020) on March 31, 2020. This issue was the first publication that was only an online publication without any print publications, due to the covid-19 pandemic

8. Eighth publication (Vol. 4, No. 2, 2020) on October, 25, 2020

9. Ninth publication (Vol. 5, No. 1, 2021) on June, 30, 2021. This issue was the first issue with a change in the month of publication. Initially, Number 1 was always published in January. From this issue onwards, Qawanin will be published in June.

10. Tenth publication (Vol. 5, No. 2, 2021) on December, 23 2021. This publication was also the first publication to change the time of publication. Issue Number 2 usually published in July. However, from this issue onwards, Qawanin will be published in December.
